Pet-friendly Hotels with Some Cuddly Creatures of their Own
Luxury Family Hotels are all about creating an environment where our guests young and old can relax and feel as comfortable as they do at home – and that extends to our canine visitors.
It’s only natural that welcoming dogs as warmly as we do the rest of the family, we have several of our own. Look out for Brogue at The Ickworth and Snoopy at Moonfleet Manor (read more them in our blog), together with Forest at New Park Manor and Rex at Woolley Grange.
But it’s not only about dogs. Across our hotels, you’ll meet fish, guinea pigs, rabbits, ducks, chickens and even bees. The fun and enjoyment our younger guests get through interacting with our animals is priceless. Seeing children engage with our pets is heart-warming for us, and the experience creates wonderful memories to take home... And that, after all, is what we’re about.
Rex our King Charles is often found helping out on reception in our Wiltshire hotel near Bath, wandering round the gardens (home to our beehive) or in our Dawn our head housekeeper’s office. Or he often pops over to see our rabbit, Simon, in The Den. He loves guests, especially when they give him a tummy tickle. Not long ago, Dawn took Rex to stay at Moonfleet Manor so he could learn some manners from Snoopy – a trip Rex really enjoyed…
New Park Manor
Our New Forest hotel has lots of pets for you to meet, including best friends Thor the guinea pig and Bobby the bunny who live next to each other in the Den. Molly the black Labrador is the eldest and hence is in charge of all the other animals. She likes to relax in the reception with Forest, our newbie, who often visits the Den and thinks Bobby is wonderful. But it's our two chickens, Penny and Jessie, who he regards as his best friends.
Our Dorset hotel has eight chickens, all with their own personality and attributes. Goldie is our biggest and definitely heaviest, while Delilah is our fastest and the first to reach the treats. Matilda, one of our softest chickens, loves a cuddle.
Nemo, Dory and Flounder, our fish, live in the Four Bears Den, while in the grounds of this Cornwall hotel reside Henrietta, EggBert, Mi-Shell and Yoko Ono the chickens. Every morning at 10am, children can go with the Den Girls to feed them corn for breakfast. They love meeting new people and are always up for a cluck.
Fish and a hamster inhabit the Den at our Suffolk property. Babies love to watch the fish swim around and the older children adore feeding them. All the children are fascinated by Bob, the one-eyed fish. Cappuccino the hamster is very tame and another big hit with kids.
