What’s New at Luxury Family Hotels
Since reacquiring Luxury Family Hotels in 2011, our passionate team has spent four years reviving this lovely group of family-friendly hotels – with much encouragement, support and inspiration from our guests. As we're now taking the first steps towards the Luxury Family Hotels of the future, we wanted to share all of our exciting news with you, so that you can see what we're doing and where we're headed.
In June, New Park Manor in Hampshire is opening the Vinery – a fabulous Edwardian-style 'winter garden' or conservatory opening directly onto our parkland gardens, offering a place to relax as well as enjoy food and drink throughout the day. Also in June, the hotel is unveiling four new family rooms and suites, two with spacious terraces with views south to the edge of the forest. Additionally, new mountain-bike loan at New Park Manor will help guests explore the New Forest, which can be accessed directly from our land.
Meanwhile, over in Gloucestershire, Thornbury Castle has just added two new suites – Elizabeth and Edward – within the historic building. Both are full of character, as well as being very luxurious and comfortable, with hand-picked antique furniture and old beams. Elizabeth features a free-standing rolltop bath.
But after asking guests for their ideas about what we might do in the future, the most popular suggestion was glamping. Hence, in 2016 you will see glamping accommodation appear at several of our hotels. For instance, it’s rumoured that we could be seeing some very exotic treehouses amid the Monterey pines at Fowey Hall in Cornwall.
